Google’s next-generation flagship smartphones—the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL—are making headlines ahead of their official launch, with new leaks revealing key hardware and design upgrades. Sources suggest the new lineup could debut as early as August.
Tensor G5, More RAM, and Larger Storage
According to Android Headlines, the Pixel 10 Pro series will feature Google's custom-built Tensor G5 chipset, marking a performance jump from last year’s model. The standard Pixel 10 Pro may offer storage options from 128GB to 1TB, while the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL could start at 256GB. Both models are tipped to come with up to 16GB of RAM.
High-End Displays and Design Upgrades
Display improvements are also on the horizon. Both devices are expected to feature LTPO OLED panels with up to 120Hz refresh rates and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The Pixel 10 Pro will reportedly sport a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro XL may boast a 6.8-inch display. Durability is said to be enhanced with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both sides.
Camera Setup and Imaging Features
Camera specs appear consistent with the Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL may include a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Notably, both the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses could support macro photography. A new 42MP front-facing camera is also rumoured to enhance selfie quality.
Bigger Batteries and Faster Charging
Battery life is expected to improve slightly, with the Pixel 10 Pro potentially packing a 4,870mAh battery, while the XL model could get a 5,200mAh unit—the largest ever in a Pixel phone. Charging speeds are also getting a boost, with the Pro supporting 29W wired and the XL offering up to 39W wired charging. Both will support 15W wireless charging.
A New Generation of Pixel Power
With improved processing power, enhanced displays, better battery life, and upgraded cameras, the Pixel 10 Pro series is shaping up to be Google’s most capable smartphone lineup yet. While the company has not officially confirmed the launch date, the devices are widely expected to debut in August 2025.
